Day 1 - Arrival in Tbilisi and transfer to the hotel

Day 2 - Tbilisi, city tour

Day 3 - Gareji, Sighnaghi, Telavi

Drive into the semi-desert of Gareji, easy hike, visit to David’s Lavra (6th century).

Stroll through the picturesque town of Sighnaghi (18th century).

Visit a winery on the way to Telavi, wine tasting and dinner.

Day 4 - Omalo, Tusheti

Departure to Tusheti. A long drive on a winding road. The mountain road to Tusheti is one of the most thrilling in the world.

Walk in Omalo to the Keselo Towers.

Day 5 - Shenako, Diklo, Omalo

Departure to Shenako. Hike to Diklo. Scenic landscapes, Greater Caucasus.

Day 6 - Kvavlo, Dano, Dartlo

Drive to Dartlo, the most beautiful village in Tusheti, featuring well-preserved local architecture. Hike to the fortified villages of Kvavlo and Dano. Stunning views, the best photo opportunities, and local sacred sites.

Day 7 - Alaverdi, Tbilissi

Return trip to Tbilisi. Stop at the Alaverdi Monastery (11th century) along the way. Free evening in Tbilisi.

Lunch in Alaverdi. Overnight stay in Tbilisi. (M)

Day 8 - Mtskheta, Gori, Kutaisi

Early departure to the former capital of eastern Georgia, Mtskheta.

Visit to the monasteries of Jvari (6th century) and Svetitskhoveli (12th century).

Continue to Gori and visit the ancient cave city of Uplistsikhe (6th century BC).

Day 9 - Gelati, Tskaltubo, Ushguli

Early in the morning, visit the monastery and academy complex of Gelati (12th century).

Stop in the resort town of Tskaltubo to explore some abandoned Soviet-era sanatoriums, followed by a visit to Georgia’s most beautiful and impressive karst cave, Prometheus.

Drive into the mountains via the Zagaro Pass (2623m) to Ushguli (UNESCO), the highest permanently inhabited village in Europe.

Day 10 - Ushguli, Mestia

Hike in the Shkhara Valley to the Shkhara Glacier (5200m), the highest mountain in Georgia. After the hike, continue the journey to Mestia, the administrative center of Upper Svaneti. Stroll through Mestia and visit the local Ethnographic Museum.

Day 11 - Mestia, Qoruldi

Half-day hike (21 km, 1400 meters elevation gain) to the Qoruldi Lakes (2850m) with breathtaking views of Ushba (4700m) and other peaks of the Greater Caucasus.

Free evening in Mestia.

Day 12 - Mestia, Batumi

Early departure to Batumi on the Black Sea. Stop along the way at the Batumi Botanical Garden. Stroll through the garden and enjoy the subtropical flora.

Arrival in Batumi.

Day 13 - Batumi

City tour and free afternoon in Batumi.

Farewell dinner and overnight stay in Batumi. (A)

Day 14 - Departure from Batumi.

End of the journey.
