Early in the morning, drive along the Georgian Military Highway with a stop at the Ananuri Fortress Church (16th-17th century), beautifully located by the Jinvali Reservoir.

Passing the Gudauri ski resort and the Cross Pass, we reach the village of Stepantsminda. From here, drive/hike up to the Gergeti Trinity Church (14th century), which, due to its stunning location in the high mountains with views of Mount Kazbeg (5055m), is considered one of the most beautifully situated churches in the world.

How about trying Chinkali, the local dumplings, at one of the local cafes with a view of Mount Kazbeg?

After the break, drive to the Dariali Gorge. Hike to the Gveleti Waterfall.

Late evening return to Tbilisi.
