After breakfast, drive to Bodbe to visit the Convent of Nuns from the 10th century. Here lies the enlightener of Georgia, St. Nino. The well-maintained convent is beautifully situated on a hill with a magnificent view of the High Caucasus.
Stroll through the medieval town of Sighnaghi (18th century), through the small winding streets and along the city wall with a splendid view of the mountains and the Alazani Valley.
We continue our journey to the village of Zinandali to the summer residence of Prince Alexander Chavchavadze. Alexander Chavchavadze is known as the author of the Georgian white wine Tsinandali, a wine made in the European style.
In his residence in the village of Tsinandali, the educated nobility gathered for literary and musical evenings in the 19th century. By the end of the 19th century, this house became the summer residence of the Tsarist family, owned by the Romanovs.
Visit to the Shumi winery in the neighboring village, tour of the wine cellar, wine tasting.
Return drive to Tbilisi via the Gombori Pass.
