South Georgia - Dashbashi – Canyon, Lake Paravani, Vardzia, Akhaltsikhe, Borjomi, Uflistsikhe

Day 1 - Elisabeththal, Dashbashi- Canyon, Paravani lake, Vardzia

After breakfast, drive to Zalka. On the way, stop at the former German village of Elisabethtal.

Visit the Dashbashi Canyon.

Short stop at Paravani Lake.

Continue to Vardzia (12th century), the medieval cave city. Guided tour of the site.

Dinner and overnight stay in a guesthouse by the Kura River in Vardzia. (D)

Day 2 - Akhaltsikhe, Borjomi, Ufliszikhe, Tbilisi

After breakfast, drive to Akhaltsikhe and visit the Rabati Fortress (13th century).

On the way to Tbilisi, stop at the spa town of Borjomi. Take a walk through the spa park and taste the famous Borjomi mineral water.

The next stop is Uplistsikhe, the ancient rock-hewn fortress and temple city (7th-6th century BC).

Late evening return to Tbilisi.
